What is MUN
Model United Nations or MUN is a simulation where participants learn about international relations, diplomacy and about the United Nations itself. Attendees at MUN are called Delegates. Delegates learn and develop many skills through MUN, such as but no limited to, public speaking skills, research skills, debating and critical thinking.
In comparison to other forms of debate, MUN doesn't just require the delegates to prove their view is the correct one, MUN requires delegates to network, negotiate, team-up, make resolutions (solutions), and defend them against different-minded nations. In MUN there aren't two distinct sides, each delegate represents a nation or an organisation and has its unique perspective. There are over 30 nations usually present in a committee, each with its own view on the topic, some like-minded, some not, it's up to you to pair with delegates and solve the world issues!

Meetings
At FDR we meet once a week while the cabinet meets twice. The meetings are held at Mr. Bossung's room, and topics can last just one meeting or span weeks. The times are from 3:30 to 4:30 and punctuality is expected. Some meetings will end earlier than usual.
New members are always welcome.
