FDRMUN
Our first local conference, FDRMUN was hosted June 22, 2013 at Colegio Franklin D. Roosevelt. It consisted of three committees: Human Trafficking (GA1), Nuclear Energy (GA2), and the Rwandan Genocide (Crisis). In total the conference hosted over 90 delegates. It was a huge success. Take a look at the video below!
CLima
Now, the MUN club at FDR is taking a bigger step. It is working as part of the international conference CLima along with the Global Issues Network club (GIN). CLima which will be hosted in October 21-23, 2014, is a conference which will mirror the United Nation's Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) Conference hosted in Perú in December this year. The MUN aspect of the conference will have five committees: Promoting Renewable Energies (UNEP 1), International Waters and Responsible Environmental Governance (UNEP 2), Ilegal Mining (Ecology and Environment), Carbon Footprint and the Implementation of International Carbon Tax (Political), and a surprise Crisis committee
